The Limes Bed and Breakfast
Attractions in the Area

The
area has a huge number of attractions. A significant number of our
guests visit the National Trust properties of Tyntesfield and Clevedon
Court and we have a book and a DVD on Tyntesfield which are
compelling reading and viewing. Note both Tyntesfield and
Clevedon Court are shut in winter. Clevedon boasts its rebuilt pier (used in the film Never Let Me Go) and also has the oldest continuously running cinema in the world at The Curzon. Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare are easily reached from here by car or by train. More locally, Kenn was the site of the Kenn Hangings in 1830 although the tree itself has now been cut down. T4 on the Beach is only 20 minutes away at Weston
Tyntesfield has been described as the jewel in the National Trust's crown. A "must see". It has quirky opening hours so check before you go.
Clevedon Court is well worth a visit but opening hours are restricted. About 2 miles from us.

Clevedon Pier Heritage Trust often used for filming and a stop for the Balmoral and Waverley cruise ships
Noah's Ark Farm is a wonderfull all day visit but not cheap. Even teenagers have been known to be reluctant to come away! Closed in winter and on Sundays.
Cheddar Gorge and Caves
Strawberry Line - Yatton to Axbridge site of the old railway line, now a footpath.
Hand Equestrian Centre. Not really an attraction in the normal sense but has a lot of national and international horse events, dog shows etc. Just around the corner from The Limes so often guests stay if they are attending an event.
Bristol - Clifton Suspension Bridge, SS Great Britain , also hosts various annual events such as the Balloon Fiesta. Very easy to get to from here.
Puxton Park has only recently opened and is still being developed.
